Women frequently ask about exfoliation, what kind is best for their skin and how often they should exfoliate? A very effective and affordable way is to combine a natural cleanser with a clay that is suitable for your skin type. If you have dry, sensitive or mature skin, use a fine clay. If you cleanse every day using a cotton pad or cloth to remove accumulated particles, dead skin cells, oils or makeup, then once/week is sufficient to exfoliate. Simply moisten your skin first with warm, clean water to open your pores. Then add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp of clay to a dollop of cleanser, such as Beaulance Sea Rose Cleanse Lotion. Work in upwards and leave on for several minutes, then rinse with tepid water.
This is great for stimulating circulation and strengthening your skin. Many other benefits to exfoliating are: sloughing off dead skin, increasing the skin’s radiance, clarity and youthfulness, unclogging pores, removing both inner and outer pollution to restore your skin to a healthy balance, helping to prevent acne, helping your skin care products to absorb more deeply and working more efficiently, helping to even skin tone, boosting circulation and lymphatic drainage, stimulating oxygen rich blood to feed and nourish the skin’s surface, helping to increase cell turnover and leading to a more glowing skin, stimulating collagen synthesis which improves skin’s integrity and texture and finally keeping your skin looking plump, tight and young! So it turns out that exfoliating is actually an anti-aging and simple practice! Affordable too 🙂
